Johan goes Dakar: After the turmoil about the cancellation of the Dakar Rally 2008 Johan van der Laan has decided to wait for news from the ASO. It looks like there will be a Dakar Rally in 2009 and Johan will focus on that. Johan will ride a Husqvarna TE 450 -Rally specially prepared and placed at Johan's disposal by Ben van Erp. In January 2007 Johan finished 39th place overall in the Paris - Dakar rally. |

Today Johan let us know that he decided not to enter the Transorientale Rally. With the cancellation of the Dakar Rally edition 2008 the emotions ran high. Therefore he wanted to enter the Transorientale Rally. But now, almost two weeks later, and having tought it all over he dicided not to enter the Transorientale.
